Governor Darius Ishaku has taken a leap to open up investment opportunities for foreign experts in key business sectors of Taraba state.
The Governor made this known via his facebook page and twitter handle when he gave full brief of a teleconference he held with the investors.
The virtual meeting with the Foreign Development Investors was led by Mahmood Mustapha, Founder & Futurist CEO, FiLab, others included Silvio F. Pupo CEO Logos Capital, and Peter Mendez President & CEO 1st SOS Inc.
The group’s areas of special interest, which formed the major plank of their discussions during the meeting was: the development of investment opportunities for boosting economic growth.
According to Ishaku “The team had earlier told me that they have expertise in the establishment of malls, promotion of agriculture, the hospitality industry and mineral resources development and marketing.
“Again, I requested for collaboration with the group to promote tourism in Taraba State, noting that the Gashaka Gumti Park located in the state was already attracting international attention. The state was already negotiating an agreement with African Nature Investment for a 30-year lease agreement of the park”.
The Governor extended the invitation of the State Government to the group to visit Taraba State soon to learn more about the state.
The group, he said, is to develop a proposal based on the discussions and agreed areas of collaboration for him to study and approve.
