

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has expressed its desire to engage the National Theatre, Iganmu as a tool for rehabilitating convicted persons in correctional facilities in Lagos. The call was made by Mrs. Omolara Ojeah, the Deputy Comptroller Nigerian Correctional Services when
she visited the GM/CEO of National Theatre, Prof. Ododo in his office on Thursday 22, September 2022.
Mrs. Ojeah, who is the Deputy Comptroller of the female Correctional facilities in Lagos, noted that the National Theatre has a big role to play in the rehabilitation and the ultimate reintegration of inmates in the Nigerian Correctional facilities.
On his part, Prof. Ododo, fsonta, fta, fsna, fana, fnipr, FNAL who spoke
on behalf of the National Theatre Management hailed the new initiative of the Service to use theatre as a tool in the process of reforming convicts in the state. He affirmed that his management is in total support of this plan and also envisions taking the theatre for rehabilitation initiative to correctional facilities in other parts of the country.
At the meeting, Mrs. Ojeah was presented a totem and books to mark the occasion.
